This 11 x 17" two-color Risograph print is my homage to Akira, one of the greatest mangas and animated films ever made. Featuring the striking moment when Kei is hijacked by Kiyoko—along with detailed vignettes from the latter half of the film—this piece is printed in bold blue and scarlet red on smooth, natural white paper.
Originally created for Wren McDonald’s Akira Zine, each print is hand-printed in my Los Angeles studio using Risograph, a unique printmaking process that produces vivid colors and subtle variations, making every piece one-of-a-kind.
